Summary of this volume: The 14th Mexican Symposium on Medical Physics is one in a series begun in March 1997 and occurs every two years. The main objective of these symposia is to bring together students and national and international experts (including clinical medical physicists, academics, etc.) to present the latest advances in the field and to discuss new challenges. This proceeding includes manuscripts on a wide variety of topics in the Medical Physics field, such as brachytherapy, radiation imaging, radiobiology, ultrasound in medicine, resonance magnetic imaging, external radiation therapy, computational methods in medical applications, physiological measurements, dosimetry, and others. A relatively high percentage of the papers are written by internationally recognized researchers in each topic.
