Summary of this volume: The 2nd International Seminar on Chemical Education was the second in a series of events that started in 2015. This seminar aims to be a forum for the dissemination of research results conducted by researchers, educators and lecturers, and others. The seminar focused on research about learning processes and the latest learning methods in chemistry education, but this seminar also provided an environmental issues sub-topic. The main topic of this seminar was Development of Chemistry Education for 21st century learning. Specific topical areas included the development of chemistry curriculum and policy, teacher learning and education, instructional and skill oriented requirements in the 21st century, classroom action research in sciences, and assessment and evaluation. In addition, the seminar highlighted the theme of environmental and social issues in chemistry in general.
