Summary of this volume: The International Workshop on Advanced Materials (IWAM-2017), held at the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) in Berhampur, India, December 19-21, 2017, was a sequel to three highly successful international workshops at NIST on similar topics held since 2011. The workshop brought together renowned multidisciplinary material scientists and engineers from academia and industries from around the world to present the latest developments in their specific fields of expertise and discuss and debate the current scientific and technological issues related to advanced materials. These proceedings contain papers presented by invited speakers as well as papers based on contributed oral and poster presentations on such contemporary topics as nano- and low-dimensional materials; magnetic, ferroic and multiferroic, ceramic, superconducting, and meta materials; and novel materials for engineering, biomedical, and thermoelectric applications.
These proceedings will be of interest to: Scientists, engineers, Ph.D.'s, and postdoctoral fellows working and interested in the advancement of new and novel materials.
