Volume 2908: Low Radioactivity Techniques 2022 (LRT 2022)
By Jaret Heise and Richard W. Schnee
Volume 2908 is the proceedings of The 8th International Workshop on Low Radioactivity Techniques (LRT2022) (14–17 June 2022, Rapid City, United States)
Title information
Summary of this volume: The 8th Low Radioactivity Techniques workshop continued a series that started in 2004. The workshop examined topics in low-radioactivity materials and techniques that are fundamental for quantum information science and rare-event searches, including dark matter, solar neutrinos, double-beta decay, long half-life phenomena and nuclear astrophysics. This years workshop featured updates from underground laboratories around the globe as well as the latest information regarding all aspects of low background detectors, techniques, and assay programs in addition to recent developments in advanced machining and 3D printing using ultra-pure materials.
These proceedings will be of interest to: graduate students and PhD-holders working on rare-event searches in nuclear or particle physics, working on quantum information science, or working on materials-science applications where radioactive backgrounds can compromise results.
