Summary of this volume: The 4th International Symposium on Applied Chemistry (ISAC) 2018 was a continuation of international scientific symposiums held annually and organized by the Research Centre for Chemistry, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) and the Indonesian Chemistry Association (Himpunan Kimia Indonesia-HKI) as part of the Indonesian Science Expo (ISE) 2018, also organized by LIPI. This proceeding contains the latest technology trends of material sciences in the interdisciplinary field of applied chemistry, physics, biology, nanotechnology and engineering in various applications ranging from biomedical and health, food science, environment technology, and catalytic reactions as well as sustainable energy systems.
