Summary of this volume: eTIME-2019, the 2nd international Conference and Pre-Conference Workshop on Emerging Trends in Mechanical Engineering, took place on 9-10 August 2019 and was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, St Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, Karnataka, India. The objective of e-TIME was to bring together researches, experts from industry, academia and other interested organizations to meet, exchange information and ideas, and collaborate in the emerging fields of Mechanical Engineering. The scientific symposium included many topics related to advanced materials, processing techniques, alternative energy resources, engineering simulation, thermal engineering, system design as well as many other related fields. The program consisted keynote addresses by the eminent speakers on the following topics: CFD Application in Bio-Medical Engineering, 3D printing of polymer Composites, Challenges in the Design and Implementation of Lightweight Electric Vehicles, Research Opportunities in Space Structure Design, and Recent Trends in Cutting Tool Technology
