Summary of this volume: The first International Conference on Recent Advances in Manufacturing Engineering Research (ICRAMER 2021) was conducted on 15 & 16th April 2021 and organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu, India. The purpose of the conference is to bring together the multi-disciplinary community of engineers, scientists, and academicians to discuss the recent trends in and future developments of Mechanical Engineering. The conference featured talks as well as poster sessions. The chief guest for Inaugural function was Prof. Dr. Jaharah A. Ghani, Deputy Dean (Postgraduate Programme), Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia & Shri. Anantharaman Prakash, Vice President, Renault-Nissan Technology and Business Centre. The invited speakers were globally recognized experts in the respective fields, Dr. Jaharah A. Ghani, Prof. Dr. G.L. Samuel, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras, Dr. Munish Jindal, Founding President, MENTORx, Founder & CEO, Hover Robotix, Dr. R. Karthic Narayanan, Visiting Faculty, IIITDM Kancheepuram, Dr. Manidipto Mukherjee, Sr. Scientist, CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur, India, Dr. R. Thiagarajan, Sr. Project Engineer, Non Ferrous Materials Technology Development Center, Hyderabad, Dr. Sagar Telrandhe, Deputy Manager, M/s. MRF R&D India Limited, Dr. Prashanth Konda Gokuldoss, Professor, Head of Additive Manufacturing Laboratory, Tallinn University of Technology, Tallinn, Estonia. The total number of papers received for the conference was 230 and the number of papers accepted and presented in the conference was 143.
