Summary of this volume: The 1st International Conference on Sustainable Materials Science, Structures and Manufacturing started in 2022. The conference focused on technical aspects of sustainable materials science, structures, and manufacturing, to understand the underlying physics of emerging sustainable materials and, once promising opportunities were identified, to design and develop new materials for use in industry and commerce that reduce the negative social and environmental impacts of conventional materials which depend on the manufacturing industry.
