Summary of this volume: The 16th EURECA 2021 was the outcome of the hard work and effort of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Taylors University, Malaysia. It was held virtually with objectives to assist in equipping the undergraduate and post-graduate communities with necessary research skills as well as providing an outlet channel for the students to creatively and efficiently share their research outcomes. The list of main conference topics included Smart Society 5.0, Sustainability and Innovation, Cybersecurity, and the Industry 4.0 Revolution. It is hoped that these manuscripts contribute to the generation of new knowledge in addition to advancement in the related areas of research, technology, and innovation in sciences and engineering.
