Title information
Summary of this volume: The International Scientific Conference on Mechanics "The Eighth Polyakhov’s Reading" continues a series of events that started in 1997 and is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding scientist, Professor Nikolay N. Polyakhov (1906-1987), who left a bright trace in the history of Russian science. The conference scope covers almost all the fundamental areas of modern mechanics and has a pronounced interdisciplinary nature. This feature of the conference is associated with the broad interests of Professor N. N. Polyakhov. Specific topical areas include theoretical and applied mechanics; dynamics of natural and artificial celestial bodies; dynamics of fluids and gases; physico-chemical aeromechanics; mechanics of solids; stability and stabilization of mechanical and electromechanical systems; physical mechanics; biomechanics; and the history of mechanics.
These proceedings will be of interest to: Researchers and students working in all areas of modern mechanics.
