Summary of this volume: The International Conference on Advanced Nanotechnology in Engineering and Medical Science (ANEMS 2017) was held in Langkawi Island, Malaysia on 20-21 November 2017. This conference was a partnership among the Centre of Advanced Manufacturing and Material Processing (AMMP), University of Malaya, and the Iraqi Forum for Intellectuals and Academics (IFIA). The conference focus was mainly on nano-composites with engineering and biomedical applications. In this event, different approaches were presented, including thin film coatings by physical vapor deposition, chemical vapor deposition, and the relevant characterizations.
