Summary of this volume: International Conference on Mathematics, Engineering & Industrial Applications 2018 (ICoMEIA 2018) held on 24 – 26 July 2018 at Menara Razak UTM KL, Malaysia was organized by Institute of Engineering Mathematics (IMK), Universiti Malaysia Perlis, UTM Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (UTM-CIAM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Pulau Pinang. The selected theme for this conference is “Conquering Big Data Challenges via Mathematics and Statistics”. The major focus areas of ICoMEIA 2018 are mathematics, statistics and engineering disciplines. Through the sharing of knowledge in ICoMEIA 2018, academicians, researchers, postgraduate students and Engineers may broaden their horizon with recent advances in various fields of mathematics, statistics and engineering applications. Consequently, this conference gives fresh impetus for our young, innovative generation to face future challenges in a sustainable manner. In addition, opportunities for research collaboration and networking with various local and international universities can be enhanced.
