The 1st International Conference on "Multidimensional Role of Basic Science in Advanced Technology" ICMBAT-2018 was held on 14-15th December 2018. The main objective of conference was to update and upgrade knowledge about science and technology, and also to promote research in basic science. These proceedings contain papers that describe the emerging trends of scientific research and computations in the areas of basic science, with engineering and technology written by the most prominent scientists and engineers active in the field. Specific topics included condensed matter physics, nanomaterials and nano-technology, radiation effects and dosimetry, green chemistry, waste management, environment and energy, water pollution, applications of applied science in engineering and technology, among many others.
