Summary of this volume: Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia has organized the International Symposium on Sustainable and Clean Energy (ISSCE) Quality in Research 2019. The conference was conceived in Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia with the desire to bring together engineers and scientists with core competence in mechanical, structural, infrastructure, industrial engineering. More than 70 national and international institutions were involved in this event. This book is populated selected articles that disseminated during the symposium. Energy; communities; and cities are of special interest in this edition. These fields are somehow representing a great potential and also specific needs of our society in order to boost a more responsible society. The knowledge and findings from these areas are defined in a way that they bring both basic information to a reader and also specific output with possible further use in research and development.
