By Michael Armstrong, Timothy Germann, and J. Matthew Lane
Volume 2844 is the proceedings of 22nd Biennial Conference of the APS Topical Group on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter (10–15 July 2022, Anaheim, USA)
Title information
Summary of this volume: The Twenty-Second Biennial American Physical Society Conference on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter (SCCM-2022) was held at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, CA, from July 10 to July 15, 2022. This conference marked the Topical Groups return to in-person scientific exchanges after rescheduling the conference from 2021. The conference was a premier forum for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge research in fundamental science and applications of shock and detonation physics and chemistry, energetic materials, and materials response to extreme conditions. More than 485 abstracts were organized in 18 technical areas, including two focused topics: Advancing Dynamic Temperature Measurements and Material Properties Bridging Across Strain Rates.
These proceedings will be of interest to: undergraduate students, graduate students, PhDs and postdoc researchers, and professionals in the related fields.
