Summary of this volume: The 4th International Conference on Current Trends in Materials Science and Engineering 2022 (CTMSE 2022) was hosted by the Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, from July 28 to July 30, 2022, in virtual mode. The International Conference on Current Trends in Materials Science and Engineering (CTMSE) is a forum for researchers, scientists, and academicians from universities, research organizations, and industries around the world to present research papers on recent developments in broad areas of materials science and engineering. It also aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for researchers to discuss the most recent innovative trends and practical challenges encountered in day-to-day life. Furthermore, it provides us with solutions to be adopted in different areas of materials science and engineering. The conference primarily focuses on new and important advances in different yet cohesive areas within materials science and engineering that can be beneficial for society and improve our day-to-day lives.
CTMSE started its journey in 2018 to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Prof. Satyendranath Bose, the legendary Indian scientist who laid the foundations of quantum statistics through his revolutionary work known as Bose-Einstein statistics. All the editions of CTMSE provided a common platform to share and exchange knowledge for all materials science researchers. After the successful execution of CTMSE 2018, CTMSE 2019, and CTMSE 2021, the Institute of Engineering and Management presents CTMSE 2022.
The conference unfolds recent advances in different but cohesive areas of material science and engineering, including computational materials, smart materials, engineering applications of materials, emerging materials, graphene and other 2D materials, carbon nanostructures and devices, semiconductor devices, magnetism and spintronics, nanomaterials and nanotechnology, multifunctional materials, polymers, composites, and ceramic materials, environmental and green materials, nano-biotechnology, and nanomedicine.
