Summary of this volume: The 13th International Conference on Material Processing and Characterization continued a series of events that started in 2012. The conference created a cross disciplinary summit that transcended departmental, institutional, industrial, public, and private research organizations and global barriers and lent itself to the integration of research and education in the vital field of advanced materials. This conference mainly aimed in major sectors of advanced processing, material characterization, modelling and simulation, properties, performance and device fabrication, advanced machine learning and computing, cloud computing, deep learning, sustainable materials, IOT, and visual computing. Our program included peer?reviewed technical presentations and keynotes. This mixture created a highly interactive learning and networking environment with a multitude of opportunities for exchanging beyond state?of?the?art knowledge and ideas on material characterization and advanced machine learning aspects.
