Summary of this volume: The ISMSE 2018 is an annual event that brings together scientists, scholars, engineers, and students from universities, research institutes, and industries all around the world. The purpose of this conference was to present ongoing research in the fields of materials, structures, and mechanical engineering and to update researchers and practitioners on the most recent advances in materials engineering with special attention to new innovations in applications of materials, concepts, and new trends in modeling, design, construction, and management of structures.
