Summary of this volume: The 9th National Conference on Thermo-physical Properties (NCTP 2017), held under the auspices of the Thermo Physical Society of India (TPSI), was part of a biennial series, the first conference of which was held in 1999. The present proceedings contains 40 articles selected from among those presented either orally or as posters and peer reviewed subsequently. The presentations covered various experimental and computational studies on thermoelectric properties, ionic conductivity, thermal conductivity, glass transition, IR thermography, thermoluminescence, radioactivity, and structural and quantum para to relaxor ferro electric transitions. The materials investigated included multiferroics, spinels, topological insulators, metal organic frame work materials, rare earth uranates, carbides, and phosphors.
