Summary of this volume: The 8th International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology 2017 (NANO-SciTech 2017) was held in Shah Alam, Malaysia from 24 February to 27 February, 2017. NANO-SciTech 2017 was organized by the NANO-SciTech Centre under the patronage of the Institute of Science, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) with NITech Malaysia Office, Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan, Department of Electronic System Engineering, Kagawa National College of Technology, Japan and the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia as co-organizer. The scientific objectives of this conference were to stimulate interest among academicians and researchers in the nanoscience, nanotechnology, and nanoengineering field by providing a platform for necessary linkages and interaction involving participants from different regions all over the world. This conference is designed to encourage extended free discussion of current results and ongoing related research in nanoscience, nanotechnology, and nanoengineering.
