Summary of this volume: The 4th International Conference on Engineering, Technology, and Industrial Application (ICETIA) 2017 continued a series of annual events that started in 2014. The 2017 conference focused on sustainable products and process designs beneficial to humans and achieved by means of products, processes, and energy. The papers presented in these proceedings cover five broad areas: (i) Sustainable Industrial Process and System Optimisation; (ii) Product Design, Material, and Building Engineering; (iii) Sustainable Infrastructure and Built Environment; (iv) Preservation, Conservation, and Water Management; and (v) Green Energy and Computing.
These proceedings will be of interest to: Undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. students who are studying and doing research in the area of sustainable product and process design; research centers that are continuously seeking frontier approaches in dealing with climate change; industries seeking improvements to their material, process, or energy to achieve more sustainable production; and government organizations, particularly in the areas of water management/conservation and sustainable infrastructure.
