Summary of this volume: International Conference on Thermal Science and Technology (ICTST) was held on 17-19 November 2017 with the purpose of sharing the current issues and growing knowledge in the field of thermal science and technology. The committee of the conference consisted of several universities in the Asia Pacific, including Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia), Gyeongsang National University (Korea), Dalian University of Technology (China), Xi'an Jiaotong University (China), and The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (Malaysia). On this occasion, the 2nd ICTST's theme was "21st century's new and renewable energy sources for Asia-Pacific sustainable development." The topics covered at the conference included areas such as renewable and alternative energy, CO2 reduction, low carbon technologies, HVAC, refrigeration engineering, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
