Volume 2003: Proceedings of the 2nd International Congress on Physics ESPOCH (ICPE-2017)
Title information
Summary of this volume: The city of Riobamba held the second edition of the International Congress of Physics ESPOCH (ICPE) on 6th-8th December 2017. The city, located at the base of one of the highest active volcanoes in the world, the Chimborazo, hosted researchers, engineers, and local politicians to promote research and industrial collaborations, identify priorities, and strengthen the science, innovation, and technology in Ecuador. In this edition of the ICPE, the topics were focused on natural and man-made ionizing radiation, medical physics and radioprotection, and micro and nanotechnology applied to chemistry, optics, and photonics. The participants presented new developments in applied physics. The small number of contributions in this AIP Conference Proceedings volume shows the small size of the local scientific community but also the broad possibilities of Ecuadorian research in fundamental and applied physics.
These proceedings will be of interest to: Ph.D.'s and postdocs.
