Title information

Summary of this volume: The 16th International Conference on Concentrator Photovoltaic Systems (CPV-16) continues a series of events that started in 2002. Concentrator photovoltaics (CPV) is a technology where optics are used to concentrate the sunlight onto high efficiency solar cells. From the beginning, the conference has been devoted to technical and scientific aspects, and the conference series quickly became the main event for the international CPV community.
This year, the conference as a meeting with personal attendance had to be cancelled because of the COVID 19 pandemic. Still, the conference proceedings give a comprehensive overview of CPV with the latest results and state of the art of the technology. The papers are written by the most prominent scientists and engineers active in the field of CPV. Specific topical areas include solar cells, modules and systems for low- and high-concentration applications; concentrator optics; characterization; reliability; and standards for CPV technology and related applications.

These proceedings will be of interest to: Physicists, materials scientists and engineers working in semiconductors, optics, optoelectronics, photonics, molecular electronics, device design, fabrication and solar energy (photovoltaics).
