Summary of this volume: The First International Conference on Advances in Materials, Ceramics and Engineering Sciences was held at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), Bengaluru, India on 17th – 18th January, 2020. This event was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Chemistry, DSCE, in association with the Indian Ceramic Society, Karnataka Chapter, India and the Department of Nanotechnology, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, India. This special issue was divided into two main disciplines, chemical and mechanical sciences covering the latest advancements in nanostructured ceramics, processing of nanomaterials, and mechanical and tribological behaviors of composites.

These proceedings will be of interest to: graduate and post-graduate students, faculties of chemistry and mechanical engineering sciences, independent researchers, and industrial researchers.
