Summary of this volume: ISSMART is an annual scientific meeting organized by Research Centre of SMONAGENES (Smart Molecules of Natural Genetic Resource), Brawijaya University, Indonesia. ISSMART 2021 was held as a joint conference with AFOB (Asian Federation of Biotechnology). ISSMART-AFOB 2021 aimed to promote mutual exchange between scientists and experts, and to discuss new research results in the fields of theoretical and experimental smart molecules from natural resources.
