Summary of this volume: The International scientific and practical symposium "Materials Science and Technology" (MST2021) took place on October 20-24, 2021, at the Tajik Technical University named after academician M.Osimi (Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan) and the Saratov State Agrarian University named after N.I. Vavilov (Saratov, Russian Federation). The symposium was devoted to the issues of materials science, technology, and innovation. In connection with the restrictive measures on the territory of the Russian Federation, and due to COVID-19, the symposium was held on the Zoom platform, which allowed all participants to present their materials from anywhere in the world. The symposium was held with the aim of summarizing international experience in the field of materials science, and technology and innovation in various fields of activity and industries. These were the main directions of the symposium:
• Materials science and state of matter
• Chemical industry and production processes in chemistry
• Polymer chemistry
• Materials science, production, technical and technological development of the textile and light industry
• Environmentally friendly materials processing technologies and production of products in the textile and light industry
• Condensed matter physics
• Physics of soft matter
• Nanomaterials and nanotechnology
• Structures and their components
• Corrosion of materials
• Innovative technologies, such as engineering and Industry 4.0 in industrial production.
The symposium moderators were Gibadullin Artur Arturovich - PhD, State University of Management, Moscow, Russian Federation; and Morkovkin Dmitry Evgenievich - PhD, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Moscow, Russian Federation. The symposium was attended by representatives of the French Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Tajikistan. The collection includes materials presented by scientists from various research and educational institutions, industrial enterprises, as well as representatives of government agencies.
