Volume 2774: The 5th International Conference on Sciences

Summary of this volume: The 5th International Conference on Science (ICOS 2022): Development in Science and Technology towards Better Quality of Life was held in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia from 27 – 28 May 2022. As noticed from name of the conference, this was the fifth event organized and held by Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University. The topics of the conference included Actuarial Science, Artificial Intelligence, Big data, Bioinformatics, Bioscience, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computation, Data Science, Environmental Science, Material Science, Physics, Statistics, and Geophysics. Although this conference covered broad topics of science and technology, some of the applications can be briefly explained as follows: Bioscience, particularly biodiversity, which is widely used for natural products; applications of computational mathematics such as is used drug discovery were discussed; uses of nanotechnology related to clean water; and geophysics for environmental protections.

These proceedings will be of interest to: graduate students, PhD/postdocs, researchers, and faculty members.
