Volume 3048: The 2nd International Seminar of Science and Technology

Summary of this volume: The International Seminar of Science and Technology (ISST) is an annual scientific conference organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Terbuka. In conjunction with the 38th anniversary of Universtas Terbuka, The 2nd ISST was held as a hybrid conference on the 20th of October, 2022, at the Universitas Terbuka Convention center (UTCC), consisting of a keynote speech, 2 plenary sessions of 6 speakers, and a parallel session. We use science and technology to solve various problems and hurdles within our society. Environmental destruction, vulnerable population exploitation, and damages due to natural disasters and pandemics can be dealt with by utilizing science and technology. To move towards a more sustainable society while utilizing new technologies as a support, innovations and new ideas need to be announced, discussed, and reviewed to accelerate realization of such society, commonly known as society 5.0. Thus, ISST aims to give a platform to scholars, researchers, and industry professionals to present their ideas and findings within their field of expertise to support innovation in science and technology. This conference also provides opportunities for participants to meet and exchange ideas and experiences in all aspects of their expertise. It is hoped that the results will give significant contributions to advancement towards society 5.0. The conference addressed the role of science and mathematics for innovation, such as in the field of computer science, innovation technology, pure and applied mathematics, statistics, blockchain technology, and data science as well as topics in environmental engineering and sustainable development concerning biodiversity, healthy and sustainable city engineering, food security and health, digitalization in agribusiness, and sustainable food engineering.

These proceedings will be of interest to: PhD/postdocs, graduate students, experts, and researchers.
