Volume 3066 is the proceedings of The Biennial Conference of the APS Topical Group on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter 2023 (18&;ndash23 June 2023, Chicago, USA)
Title information
Summary of this volume: As with previous conferences, the proceedings of the 23rd Biennial American Physical Society Conference on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter (SCCM23) included the most recent progress in understanding the response of materials in extreme conditions. SCCM23 included the usual technical areas of Advances in Experimental Techniques and Diagnostics, Data-Driven Modeling and Simulation, Detonation and Shock Induced Chemistry, Energetic and Reactive Materials, Equations of State, First-Principles and Molecular Dynamics, Geophysics and Planetary Science, High Energy Density Physics/Warm Dense Matter, Multi-Scale Modeling and Experiments, Particulates, Composites, Manufactured Materials, Phase Transitions and Kinetics, Soft Matter, and Spalla Ejecta and Ballistics. SCCM23 also had a special focus session on Current & Emerging High-Pressure User Facilities that reviewed emerging high-pressure user facilities throughout the world, together with emerging experimental techniques utilizing advanced light sources.
These proceedings will be of interest to: undergraduate students, graduate students, PhDs and postdoc researchers, and professionals in the related fields.
