Summary of this volume: The 2022 edition of the International Conference on Mathematics and Science Education (ICoMSE) convened a total of over 300 participants from various nations, with the majority hailing from the host country, Indonesia. The conference was attended by individuals with various professional backgrounds, including lecturers, school teachers, practitioners, graduate students, and bachelor students, all of whom shared a common interest. The findings of research in mathematics and science should serve as the foundation for the advancement of research in mathematics and science education. Research in mathematics and science education also yields outcomes that are more practical, widely distributed, and knowledge-based for the broader population. Hence, while the primary focus of this conference lied in the realm of mathematics and science education research, the inclusion of various scientific papers was also encouraged. This conference invited scholarly papers in the field of educational technology, with a specific emphasis on the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to augment the teaching of science and mathematics. The objective of this study was to address the need for implementing hybrid learning in the current era of disruption. These proceedings encompass a wide range of research findings and concepts, which have been shared by numerous authors. These contributions provide valuable insights, highlight existing challenges, and propose innovative solutions in the fields of chemistry education, biology education, mathematics education, physics education, science education, and mathematics and science education.
